Internet technology turns 45 years:

The sensation of the world as it is, Internet technology is now 45 years old, say around 16480 days. Imagine the days when there was no computer technology available and compare it with the scenario it has brought in work culture as a great revolution nothing short of a full scale magic. This also completes 25 years when the World Wide Web (www) was born to the amazement of every one in this world. Now that it is in a full fledged operation touching the pinnacles of modus operandi on work culture, the present day generation has every reason to have a feel of stupefied amazement when they are told as to what the world was without internet technology. In fact the wonders it has created in every field of developmental activities in the world as a whole gives it a fit case to commemorate its inception as a compulsory annual festival all over the world.

Is there still any thing like a local market?

In our school days we used to be taught the definition of a local market in economics defining it as a factor to determine the prices. The concept was that commodities in a local market were supposed to cost comparatively lesser as there was not much of any transportation charges involved. In a way there were not much of fluctuations causing rise and fall in prices locally. Now the whole country, or say even the world as a whole, is a sort of a local market because of technological developments both in the areas of communication and transportation. If rates of onion, garlic and potatoes go high in New Delhi they have their full impact in Kanpur and Lucknow. If we talk of the share  market, the rise and fall of share index gets quite affected in Mumbai if there are any bigger changes in trend both upward and downward in Singapore or even in USA. Practically speaking there is now nothing like a local market, the whole country, nay the whole world, is like one composite market affecting the economy of different countries uniformly quite often.

If Facebook and Twitter go offline:

It looks so nice and sounds to be sumptuously consumer friendly if the social tools like Facebook and Twitter are available to their users offline without getting constrained to make any payments therefor as charges for internet usage, in other words free access to both facebook and twitter. Vow! It is already there. As per latest news, it may no more be the question of any ‘if’, it is rather quite in the offing very likely to happen in tangible terms shortly after the u2opia company of Gurgaon (Haryana, India), which has its net work spread over in around 30 countries of the world, is able to launch it in India too enabling the users to do necessary surfing on both the social tools even through their mobile phones without at all depending on internet for the purpose. The technique adopted for this task is known as ussd. The very relative platform is given the name fonetwish. The internet users in India are around 200 millions only as against mobile users who numerically stand at 900 million and obviously it is so good a news for them in the New Year due just a few days after.

Bluehost– business tycoons or feudal lords?

They are a well settled business organisation obviously flourishing by leaps and bounds at the cost of their customers. They are Bluehost, a web hosting business entity. As an enthusiast to add some commercial features of interest to my the other one existing site http://uppermost.me via http://neelkanth.wordpress.com by way of some kind of a transfer through Bluehost, I got myself registered with them in the beginning of this year. Initially theirs was a remark that the URL so quoted by me didn’t exist. Later I found that they had charged my credit card for $252 being the amount for 12 months for BluehostPro whereas I had registered my self for a normal one being comparatively low priced. This they did unilaterally at their own without obtaining my specific consent for the purpose. I had hardly any option but to reconcile wanting that my new registration at least should work. It didn’t. My emails so addressed to them highlighting the problem either didn’t get any reply at all, or if there was any, it was just irrelevant. What happened instead was that there was a mall ware developed on my site and they asked me to pay them some extra money to get the virus removed, which of course I refused point blank with the result that every thing stands still and the virus in question is spreading further. The fear on this count has forced me not to open my account on the site of the Bluehost at all. I don’t know what is there further in store to cause me problems simply because I ventured to opt them as the host. There is no message from them for the last more than 3 weeks despite my incessant reminders to them. As I could see it the last time, their meter on my account regularly continues earmarking the period based charge. As a matter of an etiquette, I have no mind to proceed against them through the appropriate channels, but they are possibly compelling me to get dragged to that situation.

As I am a social worker, the purpose of this post is to apply necessary caution and an ample measure of an alert before any body, mainly including the bloggers, venture to seek some paid service or the other from the Bluehost.

Now wrist mobiles!

Think of the days when there were no mobile phones. Now the things are just different and every body from a vendor to a big shop keeper all have a mobile phone, some a number of them. As if this was not adequate enough, the companies are now introducing mini mobile phones to decorate the wrist(s) of the users. This is being done from the point of view of facilitating those who prefer to remain on talking point even when they are eating are doing some other work where their hands are not free. After this newly developed device is available, such persons can keep talking or perusing their messages on their wrist mobile. They are supposed to look like a wrist watch viewable while engrossed in other activities with their hands not free. Thanks to technological developments which are giving the society some thing new or the other every now and then.

What is there in a Password?

Why different banks and several other financial organisations talk of a password every now and then emphasising so much on its security? They are doing it rightly, and it is purely in the interest of customers, the customers who are having their accounts in some bank or the other, or particularly those who are resorting to online operations. The technological development in much advanced a shape as it stands today not only provides several avenues for transacting their business in multiple ways, it also furnishes different capabilities to those who resort to fraudulently withdraw the funds of others by hacking their IDs including password. Bankers are taking all precautions to check it by remaining vigilant on such operations themselves and by providing various guidelines to customers from time to time as to what methods the customers should adopt for overcoming the problem. These guidelines include that no body should ever divulge his/ her password to any body else, and that better it is to keep the password in one’s own memory instead of writing it down any where. While using ATM, the customer must push the ‘clear’ button on the ATM board before initiating his/ her own operation procedure, and this mode of operation has to be repeated also after the operation is over. What happens is that the ATM machine very often retains the contents of the individual operation in its memory, and the chances are that such an information can be used by some one else also. There are complaints every now and then that some body’s account was debited with huge amount of which the account holder himself had no knowledge at all. Password, for all these reasons, is always required to be kept as strictly and virtually private and confidential, and this reduces the possibilities of any fraud being perpetrated.

Demat to include Insurance and Post Office also –Does it mean any thing?

As per latest news, Insurance and Post Office accounts can now find place in demat, known otherwise as a platform for transaction of shares, mutual funds, commodities, and the like. Dealers in stocks have since acquired a complete proficiency in transacting them online and necessary software for the purpose is available in an ample measure making the whole process quite compatible with the very nature of such transactions. In the case of Post Offices, the online operations are not yet in vogue. Major business is still transacted on a  manual basis, particularly saving banks accounts where the account holders find it much more convenient to handle them manually at the local level of a post office. In their cases, withdrawals are frequent ones which may not be that easy when operation takes place online. There, every transaction is transfer based. For Insurance, it may work to some extent but not fully as there again person to person service on individual footing is more acceptable to the insurers. In such circumstances, as it appears on the face of it, handling of the accounts pertaining to Insurance and Post Offices may not prove feasibly convenient to the customers. May be, it is made possible in days to come but certainly not at present.

How to get rid of ads?

You go through some news paper, some magazine or view the TV, the whole of it is full of ads. Even when you are surfing your own laptop, you are, in a way, forced to have a glance over things in which you are not interested at all. Search engines too are no exception in this regard; you ask for some thing by way of search, you have to come across some advertisement or the other before you reach your requisitioned point. While watching TV, the most embarrassing stage which you get confronted with is a break at a point when the relative story passes through most suspense full a climax laden with extreme anxiety. This is worse when necessary broadcast of an announcement is in the pipeline and there is abruptly a break. This is in fact a trick of those running the show by which they exploit the viewers the most cashing on their anxiety for the story in the offing, as the viewers can’t leave the TV unless the residual comes out. Remedy only lies in calling it a day to the media and sit at ease, which in to-day’s atmosphere of bumper technological advancement on all counts, is just not affordable. One has to be conversant on what is the latest on different counts in the world, and to cope with that every one has to tolerate ads as an essential evil.

Paper less banking:

As a result of an enormous technological development in the country there are every now and then changes taking place in all fields and so is the case in the area of banking where many a banks including State Bank of India are talking so loud about paper less banking quoting their ATMs as their major component in the direction. True, concept of paper less banking is laudable as it helps customers in transacting necessary business without waiting for their turn standing in the big queues but such queues  are still there in front of ATMs and the like. Queues even in different branches of the banks are hardly reduced as a result of different banking institutions earlier decision of drastically reducing staff strength in their offices. There is certainly a rationale behind the concept of paper less banking but this can work better only when there is adequate staff strength duly provided by taking the respective unions into confidence

Online auctions

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Bidazzled. All opinions are 100% mine.

With an offer of around 80% saving for the bidders, the online auctions are redefined with a novel shape by Bidazzled. Offer of 80% concession, which grows to 90% if it is for charity purposes, is enormously attractive . The great salient feature of Bidazzled is that this programme is designed to fund a lung cancer charity.Certainly it is most noble an approach, an approach that serves the humanity in many ways. Bids on these Pay-Per-Bid auction sites are purchased in advance and then used to bid on merchandise. The bids cost $1 and are available for purchase in bid packs as low as $25. The participation is designed so well that no body is at a loss. If one does not win, he/she receives upto 50 bonus bids as a 'thank you' for participation. There are 15 additional bids available if used by 15th January for which the following codes are to be used.

Blog -BBP 1202A, Twitter -BTP 1202A.

There is a lucrative viral referral programme running as follows with variations from stage to stage.

A refers B, A receives 5 bonus bids

B refers C, B gets 4 bonus bids

C refers D, C gets 3 bonus bids

D refers E, D gets 2 bonus bids

E refers F, E gets 1 bonus bid.

Bidazzled is not just an online auction by biddings but much more than that it is a mission, a mission harnessed to take the interest of humanity to bigger heights as it serves the interest of those suffering from a dreaded disease like cancer. Missions like this are to be loudly hailed and that can be done better by largest possible number of people joining the move as bidders.Bidazzled

EC Council's role in IT training is laudable

Technorati Tags: ,,,

Internet technology is undoubtedly a boon for the human society and no walk of life runs without it. Many an advantages, many a benefits and superb career orientation bountifully emerge out of it but no gainsaying that it does suffer from lot many risks most vulnerably obtaining in online operations obviously warranting ample security precautions. Computer users owe laurels to EC Council who evolved an exhaustively intensive programming and guidance on, inter alia, risk free operations with their online instructor led IT security training. This training, if taken earnestly, acts as shield and buckler against spiders and saboteurs who so unwantedly attack the secrecy and privacy of the web site owner online. Abundantly highlighting security fundamentals with requisite coverage on ethical hacking, due care is taken in respect of penetration testing and disaster recovery besides focus on computer forensics and secure programming. The hacking cycle covers all the aspects which are highly relevant both from utility angle and career point of view. Secure coding is there to overcome spying and onslaughts against privacy exclusiveness.A peep to the following fully reveals a bonanza of benefits IT Security and I am the one feeling so overwhelmingly tempted to opt for such a meaningful training schedule with an anxiety to get fully equipped with fool proof safeguards against every now and then occurring online incidents of attacks on individual privacy.

Is IT industry on a slope downward ?

It was a revolution when Internet technology took the world as a storm leaving an impression as if the move is not to know a stop but there did come a stage, as it obtains currently, when the progress came to a standstill and then a dwindling trend started. It gave employment to tens of thousands of people all over the world but soon it fell prey to a world wide slump resulting into a large scale retrenchment. In India, like other countries in the world, it is very much linked to general development progress (GDP) which vulnerably wavers like a candle flicker. Measured in terms of percentage it has been around 4% of GDP growth during the last 4 years. This growth as pronounced by economists was supposed to be 9% during the year 2008-09 but it failed to go beyond 7.8% and obviously the share of progress in IT industry heavily suffered a setback. Computers are the order of the day but their popularity appears to be stagnated at a point. If the present trend of the global market is an indication, there is not much of a chance of GDP growth which only shows that IT industry has to suffer further which again denotes that till sometime back growing popularity of internet technology may get dwindled enormously.

The charm may not last long

Now that Nano is out in the market displayed ornamentally in Tata show rooms in different cities where people throng in large number to have a glance of the beauty queen. After all the people have been waiting for it so suspensefully for quite a long time heart throb of millions as the dream car becameMINICAB[1] only within a short span of time as a result of Tata's charashmatic innovation. Situation looks somewhat different if one goes by what the visitors to the show rooms for the purpose talk. They find that tyres both in front and the back are of a different size and stupney is provided only for the front. Tyres in the back, puncture proof as they are called, lack replacement remedy. What is said however is that even in the event of some puncture or the other the tyres may afford travel of a few miles with lesser air pressure enabling the driver/ owner to reach the nearest possible service center of Tatas which again has to depend on whether such a service is available nearby. Speed pick up causes rattlings on acceleration and the rear seat comfort is disturbed by noise as the very engine is fitted only in the back of the car with the caged outlet for the air yawning

awkwardly backward. Virtually, they talk, it is nothing but an upward version of a scooter/ motor bike. Cost wise too it is not that much economical as the very price tag quite nears Maruti 800. No doubt that several banks including State Bank of India have come out with special loan schemes for Nano but the buyer starts incurring additional burden of interest even during the waiting period with a lurking suspense whether his/her turn materialises within a certain stipulated time. The dicky fitted in the front hardly spares any space as most of it is occupied by stupney itself.  Let us wish that the entire fun fare doesn't turn out to be much ado about nothing.

Harvest of opportunities

Persons coming across no opportunity may call it a matter of luck but it is only absurd for those who get it in abundance and fail to avail of it. Network technology is a tempest that has overtaken every thing in the world without any visible parallel to it. Days are gone much far behind when network technology was simply a matter of an improved version of functional efficiency in offices. Much beyond all that now it is the salientmost tool that opens up flood gates for career potentially powerful in offering sumptuously rich horizons of future prospects. Oriental Vedic culture prescribes that nothing can be done unless there is a teacher to impart its pupils necessary skill and knowledge for a particular job. This is quite true but for this again one need not run from pillar to post in search of an individual teacher as every thing is available on internet itself which robustly acts as a full fledged encyclopaedia on career building, its type, nature and potentiality of a tangibly visible outcome. Leading a delegation on computers representing Banking Industry I had to visit several countries including USA, Canada, Germany and Japan having interaction with persons with vast knowledge and experience in the field and the feedback I was able to get from them was an eye opener to me. On many occasions I received these sessions of interaction as tools enormously supplanting whatever knowledge I claimed, ofcourse in a humble manner, to possess on the subject. Internet technology is the nest that nurtures, nourished and delivers the readily available exciting opportunities for those who care for themselves, need some career (which certainly they do as I do feel) and are inquisitive to lead their life in the manner that tomorrow demands. Network technology is an all pervading remedy for the purpose. There are powerful source channels like CISCO who are compactedly all in one.Cisco certification acts as friends, philosphers and guides in helping out all who find themselves anxious and inquisitive in the matters of career leading to a well built future, say exciting career. It is this juction where genuine anxiety on career and future invariably elicits genuine guidance, training and all requisite informations.Cisco certification

Date with Social Spark ?

Mind is a workshop where thoughts and ideas occur like torrential rains in directions both positive and negative like a hurricane. Doing a job and not doing it, taking up a task and abandoning it, pursuing a project and drop it in the midway are cycled and recycled many a times to the point of confusion and frustration leaving their mark as an ongoing tension. In the process one comes through exhilarating moments and too weak too at times. Matters could be trifling or important but mental process remains the same continuing with hovers chasing ideas one after the other. I am associated with Social Spark and their predecessor parents Pay Per Post as a blogger for quite some time relishing their system and modus operandi by and large. There have been moments when I thought of quitting in my weak moments with the thought as to why should I waste my energy and time in preparing cumbersome data to match their requirements in my posts for a petty sum of a few dollars followed instantly by another thought that there is no point in blaming them as after all they pay for the volume of work and if it falls short of the requirement why should they be the ones to offer me a sumptuous amount of money exgratia. Gaps in my writings have still been a sort of routine in my case thinking why a hell I should cause my readers in forcing my writings on them which, to me, could be a million dollar precious. Such a gap was much bigger this time and I ignored certain opportunities offered to me. I have a sort of some romantic attachment with the topics on technology and this time when it came my way my thought process gave me an alert not to ignore it making me to direct myself to the task. Not certain how long I can be serious on sticking to this renewed interest but I do feel like earnestly adhering to my dates with Social Spark/ Pay Per Post more faithfully. May be those who read this post brand me as a cynic changing approach every now and then as against my otherwise well known conviction to stick to ideas in a firm order but certainly the situational variations are the ones that form human weakness.

Dirt Devil Accucharge -A revolution in cleaning

deal_flow_699[1] Cleaning and dusting is a routine household task and this process is las old as the civilization itsellf. Even the sages leading a secluded life in jungles used to do cleaning of their ashrams to keep the atmosphere environmentally soothing. No technology in those days and the concerned individuals had to resort to using brooms, their solitary weapon available those days. The system travelled like various other modes in use of the people that time to improved versions for the purposes of cleaning. Vacuum cleaners produced as the then latest and most sophiscated weapons which were taken as the last work on cleaning and dusting. Technology knows no stop and this happened in this area too. Use of normal vacuum cleaners was a process that all the time kept the user hooked to full length wires causing problems in movement while user trying to fix his/her target. Now that a system is evolved to get rid of bunch of wires, the user may find it damn easy and interesting too to move from target to target. Thanks to Dirt Devil Accucharge who could make it to see that every thing on cleaning goes amply smooth. Users running helter skelter in their kitchen, bedrooms, drawing room for a fool proof sweeping chasing cockroaches, flies, variety of ants as if they were on a hunting spree may no more be a scenario with Dirt Devil Accucharge playing the monstrous devil to bestowing a natural fragrance that cleanliness is capable of rendering. The news that the producers of Dirt Devil Accucharge are not the ones to stop at it and are moving the Accucharge technology forward to a colourful outcome in the form of colour cleaning products. Difficult to resist the temptation of using these products unless there are stiff necked traditionalists who culturally can't afford to do away with the brooms they have been using for several decades.Energy friendly this tool is a wonder. Old order changeth to new one

Old or new, it is infact the order that changes from one version to another. Nothing new infact. Looking at this car model, thanks to YouTube, as I see it I think of the very very old models and if the look based on ultra modern technicalities is ignored the very frame is the same old one.

Pleasures of using a smart browser

Trivials look maga when they give the users the pleasures on functionality. I have been using Windows Explorer 7 taking it to be the best one. I tried a few other browsers for some change of taste but had to ignore them as I found them too cumbersome on usage. My programmer installed Flock on my laptop and I had a test drive. Thrilled, I found it full of several features which not only looked like a novelty to me but abundantly equipped with elaborate features enabling use of several web sites at a time with various links which are particularly required while writing up a blog post. Every thing is available at one compacted place and one need not go for a large scale scrolling getter certain tables lost in the process. For bloggers, as I am one, this browser is fully compatible to their needs and requirements. I certainly feel like finally switching over to it.

Me and my laptop

Interaction with people and amongst the people is as old as the very creation of the world. Like many a new things coming to surface, thanks to technological developments, now the source interaction too is a most significant tool to interact which, although not live, is capable of doing more than that where you can relax your mind selecting any topic to converse on computer. Substantially going by your mood and choice you can click whatever phenomenon or object suits your current mental status. Infact I get upset the moment my laptop suffers from some handicap or the other with a major or even minor error in operation. Even otherwise in my stressful moments, my laptop works as a refresher restoring to me my normal form. I feel off when my laptop is down, I feel smart within myself when it is actively functional.

YouTube -a multi dimentional picturisation

YouTube deserves a best possible recognition in the field of photography world for a live display of things. Thanks to those who brought it to surface. Glance upon whatever object is there before you, capture it in the very shape and movement it is there. Founded by Hurley and Steve Chen only in 2005 it has travelled a distance of several decades performance wise. Watching videos on YouTube is a matter of a fantastic interest to the viewers. The latest welcome feature being that it is now made available in India too, this bonanza is a great event for the people of this country.
