Neglecting environment friendly climate is causing a big threat to humans mostly those residing in villages nearby forests. Massive felling of trees in forests is resulting into dwindling of animal habitats and the wild animals hankering for their food are left with no alternative but to target the villagers mainly those who are shepherds grazing their cattle in pastures nearby forest land. The wild animals can’t prey on animals who inhabit in forests who are no more there or are scarc
e after trees are cut in a massive measure leaving the land as barrenly plain. Obviously the wild animals are targetting the human population in the vicinity. There are reports every now and then that a certain number of boys, girls, kids, even men and women are mauled by some tiger or attacked by wolves in search of their food. This is a great menace to human population and most urgently felt need is to pay due attention to creating an environment friendly climate to overcome the disaster that is there in the offing.

Why depression in women is more common?
Inaugurated by Dr. Murli Manohar Joshi, a BJP M.P., the other day in Kanpur (Uttar Pradesh, India), a medical event took place where doctors of eminence participated in debate on medicinal issues. Dr. P.K. Dalal of King George Medical University, Lucknow, opined that depression is twice as common among women than men. Almost all the doctors in the meet were of an unanimous view that self medication is always hazarduous and the patients have to refrain from so doing. The very factor as to why tendency towards depression is more in the case of women compared to men was, however, not discussed with an adequate elaboration shedding necessary light on the malady. Emotionally women tend to be hyper sensitive and that is one reason why they take even trivial most issues more seriously which in turn becomes the cause for a perpetual sort of strain and tension resulting into depression after a certain gap of time. This is an area which needs serious attention of those who are running the administration of health and medicines and requires to be given a top priority peremptorily.

Raksha Bandhan–a pious bond of love between sisters and brothers:
It was Raksha Bandhan yesterday. A very very HAPPY RAKSHA BANDHAN. The shopping spree at a large scale was there much in advance in the market with the massive demand for rakhees and the dealers in it had a great day for themselves. In a materialistic world of today this great link of India’s heritage has its own significance standing much above many a trifles of the day with its own mark of a sacred sanctity. India being a solitary country all over the world vested with the credit of observing this festival at a mega scale since the early stages of Vedic era it has multitude of followers abroad mainly the Indians since settled there. The festival is not at all confined to the followers of Hinduism alone and I know several of the people belonging to other religions who love it and practice it too deeply impressed as they do feel with the serenity and security aspect of it. History has it that an Indian queen tied a rakhee to the then emperor of India Humayun and in return he solemnly offered her his life long protection and patronage to which promise he faithfully stuck. A rakhee knot got more strengthened as a symbol of security and faith with a great human touch since then. A sister and a brother apart, it brings people of all sects and shades together with a bond of love and affection. It has assumed much more of a significance in an atmosphere of insecurity to women that is frighteningly rampant in the society in a gigantic measure presently. The festival, let us wish, continues to act as a shield and a buckler to the women folk in particular in the country till eternity.

Even waters of seven oceans can’t erase it:
This post is with reference to its predecessor one the relative link of which is given below:

What finally has emerged is the otherwise unbelievable fact that the key man most instrumental in killing innocent Jyoti was none else but only her husband Piyush who hired killers for her against an amount of rupees 50,000/ to get rid of her facilitating the love affair he had with another woman who has since been taken into custody by the police along with her paramour. Macbeth kills king Duncan as referred to by William Shakespeare in his historical one act play by the same name ‘Macbeth’ and when he goes back home after committing the heinous crime his wife Lady Macbeth comes across distinct blood stains on his apparel and she cries aghast “…the waters of seven oceans can’t wash it”. Yes, the crime Macbeth had committed was heinous and horrible beyond normal imagination but crime of the nature like this was not the last one and it hovers around humanity equally on date and may continue for ever. What happened to Jyoti was something in sequence and series for all time to come as there lies the inbuilt propensity of humans. One only shudders on the mode of horrible cruelty and callousness on the revelation that Jyoti’s husband Piyush had managed to hear the cries and groans of his wife over mobile phone while she was being killed. No kind of punishments available in Law as on date even if they all are applied together for Jyoti’s husband Piyush are enough to do justice to her unless he be half buried on a public place with dog squads biting and snatching his flesh bit by bit like it happened in the olden days.

Special leave consideration for lady staff:
As per the ruling given by the Supreme Court of India the women employees in the government offices are now entitled to 730 days leave at a stretch especially to take care of their children below 18 years age. The ruling envisages the care not only for the children in the cradle but even those going to school. The women employees also may have the option of combining the leave due to them in other categories as per their needs. It was a long felt need of the lady staff in the government offices and they have now got it with the Supreme Court intervening in the matter. Much better it was if the government had taken such a decision at their own without the Court’s intervention. Better still it could be if the ruling so given is allowed to be applied to women employees in other sectors too in the country in the case of both public and private undertakings including banks where there is a large number of the women employees working all over the country.

Nirbheek (fearless) to help the women:
Field Gun Factory of Kanpur (U.P.,India) has since developed a light weight revolver which can more compatibly be used by the women to defend themselves whenever their security is involved. The revolver is given the name as ‘Nirbheek’ which means fearless. This part is alright and the efforts made by the Field Gun Factory are laudable as they have been able to provide a handy tool as a small revolver to be used by the ladies whenever their security is in danger. This is supposed to be more useful when some rowdy element or the one who is the perpetrator of an act like rape tries to make some woman a victim of his sordid desires. But the main question is whether the ladies can really make use of the tiny pistol in the absence of any training to them for the purpose. Field Gun Factory have done their job and now it is for the security channels of administration to ensure that they make the requisite arrangements for imparting necessary training to the women for suitably handling the weapon failing which the very tool of security may not prove to be result oriented.

Tarun Tejpal of Tahelka–why in reverse gear?
It was only the other day that Tarun Tejpal, the founder and Editor-in-Chief of Tahelka, once considered a bomb blast on exposure of several scandals with himself in a lead role, admitted having committed a sexual assault on a junior journalist girl at Goa and expressed his regrets for incident in several words. As a matter of self confession, he also withdrew himself from the job of Editor-in-Chief for three months, a punishment he prescribed for himself based on his self realisation. Now that necessary criminal proceedings have already been initiated against him in the matter by the police with hectic interrogations, surprisingly he has gone back on his earlier version of statement with the assertion that he is not guilty and whatever happened was fully with the consent of the woman concerned. After this type of U turn what he meant to say was that the act in question was that of a consensual sex and there was nothing like any rape. When Tejpal had earlier confessed and had expressed regrets he was quite able to gain sympathy of the people but after a quick reversal in his stand now he is being much more condemned as from all quarters in the society. Such a turn in reverse gear on the part of Tejpal only deprives him of any sympathy from any body and the law has to take its own course unhindered.

Another feather in the cap of women careerists:
usha ananthasubramanian
It’s a happy sign that there are many a women executives who are joining as the Head of different organisations in the country, the latest being Usha Anantha Subramanian who has since been appointed as the first woman Chairman of the newly started Womens’ Bank in India. The Board which is being setup for this new type of Bank is to consist of the women only as Directors in it. The Bank is to be managed all by women themselves exclusively. The banking operations, however, may have to involve also customers other than the women. First of its kind in India, the Bank is supposed to promote a banking that is women friendly. This is a new venture and hopefully this meets the demand for exclusively a women’s Bank pending for a long time with result orientation in a healthy way. Uniquely novel an agitation–Sex strike:
Friday, 2 August 2013
A hell as let loose by a devil:
Demons and devils are not any separate community by themselves, it is the humans themselves who act as such to satisfy their ego and vengeance. As reported by the media, a man brutally killed his two children for the reason that he had suspicion against his wife on her integrity and character and that she had sexual relations with some one else. The man named Suresh Kumar was married to one Sheetal Sharma of Pathankot (India) some two years back. They had a daughter Navya aged 11 months and a son aged 2 months plus. His doubt was that the children are not his. Implementing his horrifying plan to kill both the children, he picked up a lizard, killed it and boiled it in milk forcing the kids to drink the same. Both of them died on the spot. Suresh Kumar was right or wrong in his doubts against his wife Sheetal Sharma is entirely a different matter but there is nothing that can justify the killing of the innocent kids. It was as a matter of vengeance and with a view to create panic and horror for his wife that he perpetrated such a ghastly and devilish act. Even the water of seven oceans is not enough to clean his hellish act against kids, the innocent ones to realise any purpose for eliminating them.
