As per reports from the media, consumers in a biggest ever number are all set for heavy buyings this summer like they are the kings capable of an affordability for any level of shopping. How it is? In fact different companies have come out with several schemes including discounts, rebate and concessions. The banks and other financial agencies are already there to offer easy loans with convenient EMIs and other liberalisations in repayment programmes. Besides all this, there is no dearth of black money in the country which can be used at its best through varied kinds of shoppings. It is this feature which virtually makes consumers the kings as they can very well use their unaccounted for money for shopping purposes going altogether fully unnoticed. It is out of question for those who have duly accounted for money to afford such a shopping spree. Whatever the schemes and programmes are sumptuously advertised by different companies are aimed at facilitating the rich of varying shades, and has nothing to do with helping the poor or those who have a limited source of income like salary earners, pensioners and the daily wagers.

Indian nurses still an exploited lot: Study - Indian Express
There can't be any two opinions on the fact that nurses in India are most suffering a lot. Their union(s) have been agitating on various issues they are confronted with but nothing like any remedial measures are there as yet at the level of the Government. They have to spend a lot on their training before they join the service, and what they get as their salary is too meagre an amount to meet their sustentation needs. The conditions, as per necessary study conducted for the purpose, are worse in New Delhi. Why New Delhi alone, the conditions are much worse in different towns of the country particularly for those who are working in private hospitals/ nursing homes. They are exploited on all counts. As per study, even their co-workers, mainly males, ill treat them. It is actually the responsibility of the government(s) both at the level of the Centre as well as the States concerned. This is a burning problem. An immediate remedial a measure, sooner the better, is the need of the day.

Watermelon could help prevent heart attack, curb weight - Health - DNA
Watermelon is a normal big sized fruit very commonly used in summer with people in general relishing its juice and fabric laden stuff with taste. As revealed in a recent study, a slice of watermelon taken daily reduces the cholesterol in human body, and thus it helps eradicating the amount of risk involved in the cases of heart disease. The study was tested on mice and there it was found working alright. Watermelon also helps in reducing the fat in the body also. The link given below explains more details in the matter.
Watermelon is a seasonal fruit and it is not available round the year. Those, who take the advice as suggested above, and prefer to go for its intake daily, may not find it feasible to afford the regular intake. They may of course depend on watermelons preserved in the godowns of cold storages. May be this alternative is not that effective compared to fresh ones, but for regulars round the year, this is the only remedial measure available.

New magnetic therapy to give relief to the patients of depresseion!
This one is a golden news for the people who are the victims of severe depression that the new magnetic therapy has since been made available for such a horrifying disease. This magnetic stimulation therapy is called rTMS. As per news brought out by the media, this therapy started being practiced in Mumbai around two years back but now it is gaining momentum. One Sonawalia running her clinic at Trans Mag Well-being Clinic on Peddar Road, Mumbai, has successfully treated around 65 patients with good to excellent results. The exact modus operandi relating to this therapy is not yet available but the reports are that it is gaining a bigger prospect and there is already a large number of people getting themselves registered for their treatment at Well-Being Clinic at Mumbai. The facility is likely to be extended to different other centres in the country in days to come. Many a chronic cases of depression where patients were not able to respond to Allopathic treatment and other alternative remedies, have got fully cured at the said clinic. Maruti Suzuki suffers a set back!
Maruti Suzuki, known till the other day as the biggest car producer in the country, has resumed functioning, but it has not yet come out of the set back it suffered due to strike by its employees followed by the lockout the company declared as covered in one of my posts in another blog titled as Lockout in Maruti Suzuki. It appears the company will have to strive further hard to recover its old record. The company’s production level, as per news appearing in the press. is currently for the month of August 54,154 units as compared to what it was a year back at 91,442 units. It amounts to a colossal loss to the company. The company already has tough competition to face with other car producers in the country and this set back has dragged it much backward. The company hardly had such a situation to face, excepting slightly of course, when Tatas introduced their Nana to the market, as mentioned by me in an earlier post in this very blog titled as Nano comes in, Maruti800 goes out. May be it takes a little more time, but the company with its talented human mechanism at their command is likely to recover soon by taking the concerned workmen unions into confidence.

On face book:
I am not that much conversant with the operation on face book, I am rather a novice in the area but whatever I could lay my hands on till now it is enough to convince me that it is most powerful a medium from inter communicational angle. Only the other day while strolling in the park I heard a person talking to another telling some thing like ‘…..as simple as face book’ and this inspired me to resort to operating such a tool without much of a strain on nerves. I quite realise that this tool is most useful a mechanism from the point of view of expressions. I know that there are people taking liberties vomiting their ill conceived fancies in a manner free styled and unbridled as if hankering for jumping to some thing pornographic in the guise of an aesthetic display. This is far from any decency and deserves to be discouraged. Setting aside exceptions of this sort rest of what emanates from the face book is just fascinating as it is full of utility orientation. It is in fact for the users of the face book to direct its usage in a positive manner avenues for which are there in plenty. I like it, I love it.

Limitless expectations:
Let sky be the limit for expectations is the advice of many and so is the scenario obtaining these days in the society as a whole. There are herds of people awe fully inquisitive to get richer over night enabling them to lead a luxurious life come what may. Careers are one thing one has to aspire for but that is and has to be a graduated sequence of events and dreaming alone can not do for the purpose. The media, TV channels and news paper mainly, are playing a drummer’s role all the time publicising and propagating particularly directing a message to the younger generation that one must continue dreaming big to achieve some goal or the other. True, dreaming big is alright but it has to be supported with necessary zeal and fervour in a methodical order. Howsoever strong be a goal it has to be earned and can’t be acquired as a loot. An unbridled dreaming results into frustration. Study shows that many of the youngsters in various terrorist groups are well educated. They are the people who dreamt big for a well to do life and as they could not fulfil their desires with right directions they had to resort to nefarious means to hurriedly procure comfortable zones of life. It is a steadily followed persistent effort and not a loose sort of mere dreaming that elicits graceful results in the matters of a career.

Shoe slinging -a fanatics frenzy
After a journalist slapped a shoe on George Bush getting sumptuous rewards from many quarters, the activity has quite assumed much bigger a popularity. It's a highly rewarding an incentive for the seekers of popularity and money. The latest victim being the Home Minister of India, P.Chidambaram in the hands of another journalist Jarnail Singh from Dainik Jagran. It is a different matter that he regretted the incident and Chidambaram was great enough to pardon him insisting that no criminal proceedings be initiated against him which he otherwise very much deserved. You spit on some body's face and regret but the act remains and so does the insult to the victim. After all this is not the arena of freedom of speech, this is most unbridled an approach to communicate one's feelings and sentiments. None has any better scope of expression than the Press whose machinery is vast enough to give the issues any amount of coverage limitlessly. Why then a journalist, or any one for that purpose, should resort to such an ugly measure of forcing his message. Possibly it is not the message that forms a concern, the hidden item on agenda is to elicit public attention and money. Although Jarnail Singh has announced that the amount of 2 lakhs of rupees he is receiving as a reward for the unholy act is to be spent towards the cause of 1984 anti sikhs riot victims, this by itself can't be construed as a pertinent excuse against most unpardonable an act of slapping shoe(s) on the face of some body, a VVIP or even a commoner. Law is there to take care of a Tytler or a Sajjan Kumar or whosoever involved and there is no cogent a reason as to why a journalist, out of all the persons, should indulge into such an acrobatics for trivially cheap gains.
