Floods in Kashmir -mercenaries on a rampage and vandalism:

Kashmir is crying in pain as a result of havoc caused by monstrous floods with hundreds of people dying followed by enormous devastations. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made an appeal for donations to facilitate further rescue operations and rehabilitations which every one owes a moral responsibility to respond sumptuously. Prime Minister Modi is all out to help the affected ones doing historically his best and this is for we , the people of the country, to help him at our maximum level. What is most unfortunate is the role of certain vested interests who are trying their maximum to torpedo Modi’s rescue measures. They are pelting stones on army men, helicopters, aircrafts involved in rescue operations to see that the help being extended to the victims in Kashmir valley be curbed some way or the other. They are the demons deserving a massive crush only.

A cut in diesel prices in the pipe line:

If it finally happens it is something that would occur for the first time  after 7 years. Thanks to present government led by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Diesel is a most consumed fuel in India and both rise and fall in its price affect millions of people in the country. The reduction in diesel prices is a likelihood as the oil marketing companies have started to make profits as a result of crude oil falling sharply to $98 a barrel followed by Indian rupee appreciating against dollar. Besides relief to consumers it may equally play a vital role in checking inflation. Indians being victims of hard hitting soaring prices in general throughout the country it may prove to be much of a relief to them. If media channels are to be relied upon, such a measure of relief has every likelihood for its implementation by the end of the current month.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has issued directions to all of his ministers to strictly go by merit while making any recruitment in different departments of  their ministries. The announcement is to be hailed in the sense that merit should never be a factor to be compromised either as a matter of pick and choose or even reservation in jobs. Merit is the crux point when there is a nation building in the process coupled with developmental activities all around and if the tools like pick and choose and quota reservation are allowed to get manipulated it enormously hampers the progress of any country –be it India or some other country elsewhere in the world. The move initiated by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi is sure to attract more talented people with adequate merit capable of handling the tasks which are in the overall interest of the country.

P.M.’s Teachers Day speech–action against defaulters:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s speech on the last Teachers Day was a great hit but several of the schools in the country defaulted in its proper implementation –some on the ground that they had no necessary paraphernalia available with them for the purpose and some wilfully including those for political prejudices. Certain political parties openly opposed the programme. The government has now come out with a threat of action against those schools who defaulted. Since it was an official programme where Prime Minister was involved, there should normally be no pertinent an excuse to play any defiance on the part of any body whether individual schools or the political parties but the question is whether any action taken in the matter can be a justifiable one, more so in the case of different political parties who feel that they themselves are all powerful to go the way they want and none is supposed to go against them. It has yet to be seen what a turn it finally takes.

Call it luck, role of stars or the outcome of his indefatigable work style round the clock, whichever field Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India, enters is an instant success. The latest being his talks with students on the Teachers Day the 5th of September’ 2014 which proved to be a tremendous success when a great  message on hard work was heralded by him. The event was preceded by his another hit –his most successful a visit to Japan. His success stories are forming a great history in Indian subcontinent eliciting laurels from different quarters globally adding much bigger a pride to all Indians. One can well imagine the hard home work he does to secure success on all counts –be it a matter of developmental activities or any message to the Nation on the ethics of hard work meticulously put in. There are many who tried to put hurdles on his address to the children/ students, some like Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamta Banerjee even released an appeal to boycott such a schedule of his. Such an action on her part was obviously branded by the people as childish and envious. The Indians in fact owe the Prime Minister Narendra Modi their gratitude the way he has harnessed himself to the cause of upliftment of the country on all counts.

Sterilizing the elephants:

What a cruel joke? The state government of West Bengal has come out with a decision to sterilize elephants for the reason that they are every now and then a cause for train accidents and, as they feel, the remedy lies in arresting their population growth for the purpose, hence their sterilization. Supreme Court of India has since taken a serious view in the matter. If other States in the country follow suit with the West Bengal government, they may possibly propose the same measure against the families of all those who are killed in rail accidents which mishaps are more or less a routine in India. Elephants are a tameable animal, harmless and human friendly. Their services are utilised in many ways besides being a tool of entertainment in events like a circus. Sterilizing is cruelty, the means that can be used by the governments instead are safety measures on the part of the railways to scare them away from the rail tracks. Elephants alone are not the cause of accidents and in several cases they occur as a result of negligence on the part of the personnel concerned and if that factor is duly taken care of the potential accidents can very well be averted. In no case cruel  measures like sterilization, too excruciating and tortuous a process, can be the alternative.

Increase in Central Government employees D.A.

Central Government is likely soon to enhance dearness allowance of their 30 lakh employees from existing 100% to 107%. The increase will benefit also 50 lakh retired employees besides those who are already in active service. The Government of Uttar Pradesh too is all in a preparedness to fall in line extending the benefit to their 17 lakh employees at par with those in central government. Good enough but why they are not for extending the same parity to the employees in different other sectors in the country mainly including those employed in the Banking Industry and also their retirees who are struggling for a long time to secure the needful enhancement in the dearness allowance payable to them. Such a disparity is not a new thing as both the Central Government and State Government have all along been nurturing a notion that their responsibility is confined to their own employees and they bother the least for others in the country. This is actually the time for the serving employees and the pensioners in different other sectors in India to launch a massive movement to secure their legitimate rights based on the universal principle of parity.
