Peace is lacking on all fronts –be it a matter of domestic precincts or an atmosphere in some office or the other. Developments are a boon to the social fabric of the system but as every thing has its side effects in an adverse order, developments too have it in plenty. You switch on your TV to glance over important news but the hyper speed with which they are telecast makes it too cumbersome a process as before you catch a headline it disappears replaced by another in a sequence which too passes on before you are able to make some head or tail about it. Where are gone the days when people used to see a news channel at ease with comfiture grasping the contents wholesome. Developing economy has the characteristic of providing ultra modern facilities but at a cost, the peace of mind.

Wild animals turning man eaters–Why?
Neglecting environment friendly climate is causing a big threat to humans mostly those residing in villages nearby forests. Massive felling of trees in forests is resulting into dwindling of animal habitats and the wild animals hankering for their food are left with no alternative but to target the villagers mainly those who are shepherds grazing their cattle in pastures nearby forest land. The wild animals can’t prey on animals who inhabit in forests who are no more there or are scarce after trees are cut in a massive measure leaving the land as barrenly plain. Obviously the wild animals are targetting the human population in the vicinity. There are reports every now and then that a certain number of boys,girls,kids,even men and women are mauled by some tiger or attacked by wolves in search of their food. This is a great menace to human population and most urgently felt need is to pay due attention to creating an environment friendly climate to overcome the disaster that is there in the offing.

As if free sex is inevitably a dire need?
- The affirmative consent definition is one of many factors that is assessed when sexual violence is investigated and adjudicated on our campuses. But it is an extremely important one.
Isn’t it that such laws, if practiced by other countries, provide an alternative to otherwise a ghastly act like perpetrating a rape liberalising the same in public places? Back to the age of Adam and Eve, they could have felt more satisfied to know that there is no more any thing like a 'forbidden fruit' and that can now be relished well even quite publicly.

A cut in diesel prices in the pipe line:
If it finally happens it is something that would occur for the first time after 7 years. Thanks to present government led by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Diesel is a most consumed fuel in India and both rise and fall in its price affect millions of people in the country. The reduction in diesel prices is a likelihood as the oil marketing companies have started to make profits as a result of crude oil falling sharply to $98 a barrel followed by Indian rupee appreciating against dollar. Besides relief to consumers it may equally play a vital role in checking inflation. Indians being victims of hard hitting soaring prices in general throughout the country it may prove to be much of a relief to them. If media channels are to be relied upon, such a measure of relief has every likelihood for its implementation by the end of the current month.

How to start a day?
I was reading Amandeep Kaur, a life coach, in a daily and feel like recording an extract of her writeup that inspired me much. If one feels concerned with his/ her health and wellness, the advice so contained in the extract is worth following and the readers of this blog can take full advantage of it as a matter of awareness and a meaningful pointer in day today life of every one. The extract under reference is reproduced below:
“How we start our day sets the tone for the entire day. When we begin our day with a grateful heart, contemplating the greatness within and around us, its fragrance spreads throughout the day. Taking out some time for ourself, in the first hour, is time well invested. It could be just a few minutes of quiet time, focussing our mind in meditation or being one with nature looking at lush green trees, the blue sky, chirping birds and breathing all in.”

What finally has emerged is the otherwise unbelievable fact that the key man most instrumental in killing innocent Jyoti was none else but only her husband Piyush who hired killers for her against an amount of rupees 50,000/ to get rid of her facilitating the love affair he had with another woman who has since been taken into custody by the police along with her paramour. Macbeth kills king Duncan as referred to by William Shakespeare in his historical one act play by the same name ‘Macbeth’ and when he goes back home after committing the heinous crime his wife Lady Macbeth comes across distinct blood stains on his apparel and she cries aghast “…the waters of seven oceans can’t wash it”. Yes, the crime Macbeth had committed was heinous and horrible beyond normal imagination but crime of the nature like this was not the last one and it hovers around humanity equally on date and may continue for ever. What happened to Jyoti was something in sequence and series for all time to come as there lies the inbuilt propensity of humans. One only shudders on the mode of horrible cruelty and callousness on the revelation that Jyoti’s husband Piyush had managed to hear the cries and groans of his wife over mobile phone while she was being killed. No kind of punishments available in Law as on date even if they all are applied together for Jyoti’s husband Piyush are enough to do justice to her unless he be half buried on a public place with dog squads biting and snatching his flesh bit by bit like it happened in the olden days.

Conserving water:
Most vital a factor as it is for humans and animals or say any live being in the world, water needs to be saved and conserved at any cost. Only a few days back it was World Water Day celebrated every where. Let such celebrations be not confined to a ritual only and the Day requires the people to commit themselves to a resolve on saving water without permitting any kind of wastage in whatsoever manner. Any excuse on wasting water should be out of question. The humans, all other live beings including animals on earth breathe for their life and so is their need of water to survive. Even trees, plants and any vegetation can’t retain their greenery without water as their very survival entirely rests on water only. Water is a life saving property and none can justify its wastage. Restraint on wastage apart, it is call of the Nature for the mankind to strive hardest possible to save it and conserve it by harnessing the requisite methodology for the purpose.

Isn’t it that simplicity is a costly affair?
‘Simple living and high thinking’ is a great slogan. It sounds so noble and inspiring too in the meantime but the question is whether it practically pays any thing. The answer is obviously a big ‘NO’ unless the concerned practitioner is otherwise a great celebrity. Mahatma Gandhi could afford the luxury of simplicity and so could Nelson Mandela or one can remember Abraham Lincoln for the purpose. The man in the picture is the son of an MLA and is left with no option but to work as a cobbler for a living as his father was too simple and honest an MLA never resorting to any sort of unfair means to make the family rich enough to lead a life of comfort and luxury like all the politicians in India are doing today

The way you treat yourself matters:
It matters much as to how you treat yourself for the simple reason that your normal expectations are that others should behave well with you. Many of those practicing ART OF LIVING themselves do not follow this. Charity begins at home and those who impart preachings themselves adopt the adage they will surely leave a practical message to others to fall in line. Otherwise too, it is a normal common sense that what you sow you reap. Why not take care while sowing to ensure that it elicits the desired fruits when the efforts materialise. Let it not be just a matter of culture, more importantly it is the truth of life. Life is after all what one makes it.

Story of a computer maniac:
There are many who take use of some computer or the other as a severe addiction for themselves and they are the ones who can’t afford remaining away from it for longer durations and yet there are several others who start feeling uneasy if they are not on their laptops with a gap of more than a few hours. This is not the end of the anxiety on the part of the computer users as there are exceptional cases like the one, as reported by the media, in some country who sticks to the company of his computer for 24 hours a day. And to pursue his addiction he opted to stay in a computer cafe itself day and night. Even when relaxing for a few moments he reclines clasping his laptop by his chest. Such a practice is in fact a great health hazard and how he is able to keep himself free of different ailments is a matter of sheer amazement. Addiction of a type like this looks like some sort of a lust but in any case the man concerned deserves all praise for his stamina to match a commitment like this.

Blood suckers as they are:
Birth with tax, death with tax and confronted with some tax or the other throughout the life, one is supposed to remain burdened with taxes of different kinds all through and this is life in a country like ours, India. What the citizens get in return are a nullity with no kind of any security, physical or financial, for the common man. The ads released by the government through different channels of the media from time to time highlight the need for taxes for the development of the country. This is nothing but a hoax. On my way to Lucknow (U.P., India) the other day my car had to have a compulsory halt at a toll tax barrier in the midway. The prescribed tax being Rs.60/ (one way), it was paid which only sometime back was Rs.40/. Why this bumper jump in the matter of the rate? The reply was that it was for the maintenance of the road. The passengers are required to pay such tax almost on all the roads wherever you travel and if all these roads are financially managed by the toll tax so realised, what for the vehicle owners are compelled to pay the permanent road tax otherwise. In fact the huge sum that accumulates out of these taxes is used more for the exorbitantly lavish life style of the upper strata of the people involved in governance than the common people. They are the people who suck the blood of the common men in the country in the name of some tax or the other enjoying life at the cost of the public in general.
