Holidays are there for different purposes starting from statutory obligations to religious and functions of national importance. Most of the holidays are there as a matter of political compulsions. In New Delhi, there has been a demand to declare Harchhath as a holiday. This time it is falling due on 19th of the next month. Political parties, particularly Bhartiya Janta Party, are hell bent to get it done positively before the festival takes place. This is purely for the reasons of securing majority votes in favour during the next available chance. Harchhath is observed by the women folk, and women voters in New Delhi out beat the strength of male voters. If Harchhath can be listed as a holiday, why not other festivals like Karwa Chauthh and several other festivals varying from religion to religion, one political party to another, and the list becomes unending if all requisitions in this connection are duly (or even unduly) entertained. Holidays from workers point of view are alright as they are done on the basis of a dire need for rest and relaxations to the employees, but any thing beyond that should be done strictly on the basis of the required need like national holidays. This is unfair that every thing in our country assumes, sooner or later, the colour of a sheer politics.

Titbits too count in a work culture
The notion that a major takeoff on a task or decisions on crucial matters form a strong work culture is not correct, what really counts is the manner and style in which a job is undertaken. There were sections who treated Mahatma Gandhi as a laughing stock when he launched 'Namak Andolan' against British imperialism in India. The critics branded it as a meaningless exercise and too trivial a measure to combat the menace emerge as it did from the then so powerful British. It was only later when they realized that they were wrong when they came across the amount of mass awareness and awakening of a volcanic order generated in rank and file throughout the country. Small things are not to be ignored just as trivialities as they do matter to form a bigger approach. May be there are eventualities when a needle matters more than a sword. One has to decide which tool is to be used where like a soldier does in a war field in respect of the weapons he has to use in terms of what the situation demands. A giant ship in ocean is not at all usable in small rivers, there it is a tiny boat that works.

Interpreting honesty
What honesty stands for ? Is it the action one commits or it is the way a person thinks ? Thinking activity wise is the physical performance but what counts more materially is the way one thinks for his actions, his mental attitude or say aptitude. Bhagwat Geeta prescribes that honesty is not the factor that is measured in terms of activities alone, the very bent of mind of the performer is the real factor. It says with reference to sex that a person who abstains from sexual activity but remains engrossed with the thought of it is indulging himself/ herself in such an activity in the same measure as a person could have done the same in physical terms. Celibacy is not just refraining from sex, it is practised better if the concerned person makes it possible to keep off the temptation for it mentally too. So is the case with several other modes of activity say for instance theft. Committing theft or for that reason any other casual slip or doing that sounds unethical or antisocial is not that serious as it is when it forms a propensity in that direction. There is the kind of the people who apparently don't think bad of others or malign them with prejudice or hatred but thinking wise they only have ill will and contempt for others in general. They are really the most dishonest persons. To behave honest for the sake of image but go crooked at the first available opportunity is an act of dishonesty of worst order.

Mobilising readership
Write and be read is a normal desire. Any one who writes fondly cherishes an ambition of being read by largest possible number, one who sings wants the entire world to listen to him, one who delivers a speech desires to be heard by the people with rapt attention. Marketing people want their brands tobe gone through by the potential customers at a massive scale with the difference that what is of more of interest to them is tangibility of reading even without a rapt attention. Advertising is the most powerful tool in marketing and this focuss is now being significantly diverted to blogging channel. Bloggers, with certain exceptions, may not get the required level of readership unless they rub their nose to a fullest possible measure. I believe in natural readership. Not necessary that I just get it. I am not at all for artificial readers knowing fully well that it is not practical. Popular themes like robust sex are found doing so well where I am the one miserably failing to compromise as I take love as serene and not as an object of obscenity. While surfing various other blogs I find that many of them are two liner posts or a tiny photograph but they are the ones that attract readers, get a good rank and better grade. I am yet to understand the secret of it. May be such a successful trick of the trade is not the cup of every body.
A solitary rose
Making its way out, peeping through the bush leaves, glancing upon the passersby, it's a full bloom rose single handedly heralding the message of fragrance that emerges from love, love for every one, love for the world. There are thorns too but they are the ones that support it, they are the ones that protect it against any potential onslaught giving yet another message to the mankind that good and bad both can not only survive together, they can very well proceed ahead supplementing each other on any move. Inspirationally this single rose is strong enough to guide the humans to survive in odds and yet be able to do something good to others.
Why English ?
Using English language or any language for whatever be the purpose is obviously always supposed to be in order with an accurate usage of spelling, punctuation, style and tone and tenor. It is after all a question of capacity. All can't afford doing it with a meticulous adherence to what is a normal expectation. OK, no problem, let it not be done but what about those who volunteer themselves to resort to twisted versions of words to suit their own tongue and type. One of my blog readers while giving her comment on my post on Prithviraj Chauhan on another website (Wordpress) asked '...when he was dad'. Initially I failed to make out any meaning out of it but realised a little later that she wanted to know as to when he died. I replied. Another question on the same topic but in another post of mine was if Sanyokta had so much of 'licking' for Prithviraj Chauhan since beginning. My goodness. Licking in those days ? It was a Doom's day if there was any thing of this sort at a time when any woman even if she happened to be a princess resorted to a noticeable love making to that extent. What was meant by her question was simply this much that whether Sanyokta had so much of liking for her love mate right from the beginning. Liking in plain terms is an indication of choice but licking is an intense form of activity while engrossed in physical romantic activities. Language, I mean any language, claims respect and miserable twist of its words amounts a sheer disrespect.

Incapacitation too inspires
Once rendered incapacitated on whatever count, trivial or major, one just feels like he/ she is out of form and can not join an activity that otherwise interests him/ her so much. It needs only some amount of resoluteness on the part of the person concerned and that fully takes care of the handicap which one suffers from. Just the other day I had gone for an eye operation for cataract. Doctors advised me complete rest atleast for a week prescribing no reading, no writing and above all no interaction with computer. I had to skip a certain number of opportunities which I was otherwise supposed to attend as a blogger. With focus on a particular offer, I opted to attend to it, covered my eye that was operated with a dark black scarf besides the coloured specs provided by the doctors using only the other eye to takeup the job. Normally it is a matter of surfing around half a dozen web sites at a time while completing a post obviously confronting the eyes with flash and glare causing sharp radiation but I chose to remain unmindful of it directing my undivided attention to the task only. It took a few minutes. The task was finished and submitted. No sooner it was submitted, it forthwith elicited an OK in the shape of 'approved' and the very brief word gave me a satisfaction of a degree as if I had won a marathon race. Feeling handicapped still, I keep a posture as if I am quite in form and can do many a things despite problems particularly that of vision. I could even make it to write this very small experience of mine although
finding it somewhat difficult. I am reminded of what Milton wrote 'on his blindness' saying '...they also serve who stand and wait.' Incapacitation does cause problems in physical activities but it has a deep potential of inspiring the person concerned to get boosted up for a performance.

Invisible friends
How peculiar it looks to be in contact with hundreds of persons and still no interaction face to face. This is what actually happens while operating online be it for business or be it in the context of writing posts on blogs. I come across a large number of my admirers giving beautiful comments on my posts which obviously I receive well and relish too. I quite feel like putting a word of thanks to them but on many an instances I fail to do so as email I so send doesn't reach them for the reason that it was not contactable. May be the person addressed to by me feels that I did not bother to even acknowledge the comments on my posts but how to communicate to them that I did make efforts in that direction and it did not reach them for them. So funny are the ways that work in email system very often fails. I received a call from a person complaining that it was too bad on my part not to acknowledge messages of comments and when I shared my problem with her she gave me another email address of hers that ofcourse worked. It doesn't happen in all the cases as every one is not supposed to waste a call every time she/he gives a comment on my post and dependence on the email system continues to remain functioning of which is hardly punctuated with a fool proof result. Once I perused a post of someone who wrote a nice poem on pangs of seclusion coupled with a line indicating that she was feeling like committing suicide. I did feel upset and keenly wanted to get her through some message urging upon her not to resort to such actions. I couldn't get her and had to write a post on 'Mystery Woman' consoling myself with the thought that may be she comes across this and gets the message I wanted to send her.

A swim with the dreams:
Dreams are a reality, they are not just something tobe brushed aside as mere imaginations, they are infact the very source of what finally emerges as tangibly visible a material. There is nothing on earth which at some stage or the other was not conceived. Those who ignore dreams as a phenomenon utopian sans any reality are not correct. Dreams are a plinth of what finally takes the shape of an identifiable truth.Facts are an offshoot of dreams only. It so happens very often that dreams are more relishable than reality. You think of a beautiful face and then abruptly come across some one howling at you with shrieks and the contrast acts so annoying to you. Your rapport with dreams is manageable and can be directed in a manner that suits your faculties. What may be difficult for
you to acquire in physical terms can well be managed with dreams. How it is that many of love marriages are a flop within a short span of time gap after marriage is over. This is actually result of a clash between what you thought and what you got. What you tangibly got turned out tobe not what you had imaginably worked out. The saying of the sages that a person has to remain in the confines of the surrounding limitations is based on the very concept that source of disappointments lies where imagination is in conflict with physical reality.Quite a long time back I used to read with interest a picture serial in a reputed daily depicting adventures of Garth while helping the lead fairy character fighting the evil. She starts feeling that she is in love with Garth which she was not supposed to. She goes to Garth who was in sleep lying by the river side transmitting him a dream message with the contents that she was thankful to him for the help that he extended to her and that she was now leaving for the reason that in her capacity as an angel to fight the evil she couldn't afford falling in loving with humans beyond interaction in dreams. She left. Swim with the dreams is without any prejudice on material objects and is cherishable by a mind unpossessed of any vice or sodidness.

Chirping birds
When evening draws to a close, invariably and unfailingly there are chirping birds singing songs to soothingly caress tired minds of the people after the tiring toil of the day.The birds that way not only care for themselves thay equally share the day with human beings. They are so loving, so generous and so lovely as against the human beings who hardly care for those very birds who do so much for them, they instead are on a killing spree against them most often. Lord Budha was the one who saved a bird shot at by an arrow of the killer. One Lord Budha was not enough to protect the birds, infact many a Lord Budhas can't do it because the mankind suffers from a killer instinct possibly right from the days the world came into existence and for that reason the propensity to make others a prey in human mind looks unending with a potential in such a negative direction is a matter of eternity. How good and noble it could be if the human beings could improve their behavious in dealing with other creatures on earth.
Why love is called blind?
There is nothing like a phenomenon that love is really blind. Love emerges as a spontaneous upsurge of powerful emotions culminating into a situation where a person gets involved virtually with heart and sould knowing no obstructions to it. It is actually the firmness in approach that counts –the firmness to adhere to the commitment between the two souls who, after love is generated between them, know no bounds, no limit, no demarcation, nothing sort of obstruction. It is this firmness and intensity that is very often given the name ‘blind’ by those who can’t afford to relish it, they rather envy. The interpretation found convenient by many that no reasons or justification test be applied to it is only illogical and erratic.

The Bird that killed herself for others!
A miniatured version of the story runs like this:
One of the creatures in a dense forest with a river flowing in the midst of it was a tiny bird.Drought occurred with famine of high magnitude.Fire brokeout engulfing all. Total inhabitation was at a collapsing point with dwellers running helter skelter to save their children against fire which nearly engulfed them leaving no time gap for them to escape.Nothing was there and the fire was assuming aggressively aggravating proportions set to devour the entire forest. The bird started dropping herself into water in the river flying back fully drenched to the top of the trees fluttering her wings and squeezing water therefrom to soften the flames. The God of rains Lord Indra laughted at her calling her action as ridiculous pointing out how silly it was on her part to show audacity against mighty flames. Reply of the bird was ‘you and the other Gods have the capacity to play any havoc or if it so pleases you you can equally remedy it by causing rains but since you care damn for others on earth you would’nt do it. I as one have to continue my efforts to do whatever little I can till the last breath of my life’. In the process the poor bird accepted being reduced to ashes.

Frailty thy name is (not) woman!
The saying that where women are worshipped, Gods are there places the ladies at a level where they become the very source of attraction for the male gender.Today’s woman has become more a sex object than a matter of chaste beauty with the result that materialism has come to surface to the extent that a female (not a weaker sex) elicits nothing beyond a lusty gaze or a vulturous chase. A camera man who can manage the extremes of an exposure with nudity fully manifest on the surface is best admired and acclaimed. If a woman is a beauty just from her nudeness angle, what else is the obscenity. Those relishing only a robust exposure attempt to redefine obscenity as beauty in the name of ‘modern view’ are just mistaken as it is something that can’t be replaced simply by changing the name, nor it can alter something that is eternal and divine. More the nakedness, more the clappings could be the order of the day for some but if there is something like a soothing sereneness, it stands no where. The saying that ‘beauty lies the eyes that behold’ only caterorises the onlookers as those who solemnly admire and faithfully relish the glaringly transparent beauty of a woman abundantly rich in her intrinsic worth on one side and those on the other who brazenly prefer to gallop whatever form that meets their unbridled fancy with voluptuously surcharged hunger for flesh and loose laurels on that count.. Exposure beyond a certain limit is utter nakedness and that trend is growing as an order of the day.If it continues like this, the woman is destined to lose the chasteness of her beauty and charm –what is spposed to be left is an artificial praise for her by the lusty chaps depriving her of the inherent grace.
