Not just an actor:

A son inherits his name through his father’s and if this was the case with Amitabh Bachhan he would have been known as Amitabh Rai Bachhan like his father Harivansh Rai Bachhan, a renowned poet of his time. He is a Shahanshah of Indian film industry, a status none could occupy and the reputation and popularity which he commands remains un-parallel in the history of Bollywood. Though in advancing age, he still exceeds his contemporaries in calibre and stamina. Normally the actors attaining a stature of popularity get swayed by it and develop a tendency of a false grandeur but he is the one who is much above all this remaining as simple a man as one in the masses. He did have his own romantic affairs but he didn’t allow them to mar his marital life continuing to remain a good husband. He is an idol, and ideal too, as a son, a father, a father-in-law and a grand father remaining fully a committed family man. He is just a simple person sans any kind of ego and even a commoner from the streets can meet him. He sees to it that within family circles every one talks in Hindi, the national language and his mother tongue instead of English which is otherwise a fancy for many in our country, more so in the Bollywood. Much away from the grandeur and falsehood, he hardly has any ego. Many of his co stars who wanted to pose themselves as superior to him insisted the film producers for higher remuneration compared to him which gesture he never resisted, he rather simply compromised with whatever he was paid. Now a days he appears more in ads but that is again a field for him where he is getting as much of a popularity as he got in the films. He is an inspiration and an ideal for the people in different age groups be it the younger generation or be it the older ones. Let us wish him to continue inspiring generation after generation.

Whom to rely upon?

The well known Yog Guru Baba Remdev is regarded by his disciples and even others as a crusader against corruption and black money in India. It is a different matter that he himself is running an empire of business in indigenous medicines and is involved in several cases against him being investigated by CBI and various other agencies in the country. He is a Yogi turned politician now practicing more of politics than Yoga. There are many a controversies surrounding him in relation to his products as from Patanjali. One of the latest products from the Patanjali medical centre is a Chawanprash with composition of 51 herbs as per various ads released in relation to that. A consumer checked the very label of the Chawanprash container and there he found the mention of only 37 herbs. Since the market is flooded with the new brand as such it just can’t be construed to be an omission and if it was something deliberate it amounts to a manipulation bordering a fraud. People trust Baba Ramdev but if he too is found involved in any malicious deal, the very question that arises is as to who could be the people to be trusted upon. The matter is under investigation and the truth will come out after it is finalised.

How to get rid of ads?

You go through some news paper, some magazine or view the TV, the whole of it is full of ads. Even when you are surfing your own laptop, you are, in a way, forced to have a glance over things in which you are not interested at all. Search engines too are no exception in this regard; you ask for some thing by way of search, you have to come across some advertisement or the other before you reach your requisitioned point. While watching TV, the most embarrassing stage which you get confronted with is a break at a point when the relative story passes through most suspense full a climax laden with extreme anxiety. This is worse when necessary broadcast of an announcement is in the pipeline and there is abruptly a break. This is in fact a trick of those running the show by which they exploit the viewers the most cashing on their anxiety for the story in the offing, as the viewers can’t leave the TV unless the residual comes out. Remedy only lies in calling it a day to the media and sit at ease, which in to-day’s atmosphere of bumper technological advancement on all counts, is just not affordable. One has to be conversant on what is the latest on different counts in the world, and to cope with that every one has to tolerate ads as an essential evil.

An address to blog readers:

I am handling about half a dozen blogs and obviously, like every blogger, I do feel interested to see that my posts are read well by the viewers and the readers. I felt like reaching my readers through some of my posts some time back to point out my anxiety to them but had to resist my intention with the hesitation that this might be taken as an attempt to over publicise my writings and could even form a span with the result that I withdrew. Soon thereafter I came across an article by a co blogger online with the title including ‘guidelines’ to the readers talking of as to what she expected from her readers. This inspired me a lot and on a re-thinking I too thought of falling in line with her and have an interaction with my viewers, hence this post. General psychology of the readers is to have just a snap shot view of a post without straining their mental nerves to go deep into it with of course a few exceptions who always prefer to be quite thorough. Heavy traffic elicits a better rating for the blogger and, in respect of paid blogging, it counts more commercially if necessary ads on the posts are clicked properly, which is an area often ignored by the readers. Even ‘ratings’, ‘like’ and the comments links too are not practically followed by many. My blog ‘Avenues’ at the Wordpress.com has hundreds of comments running in several pages, but that’s again a zone all the readers just can’t cover and this should be enough for the remaining readers to use a few words at least by way of comments. This strengthens the relationship between the authors and readers. By giving a complete perusal of a post, the readers are the ones who contribute much in raising the morale of the authors. The readers after all are the best judges to apply their discretion in a manner they so prefer to do.

Is online operation really relevantly instant ?

Online operation is tempting, look as it does instantaneous, and the one operating a computer feels as if the entire world is under his feet. So alluring it is on the surface that persons can't help realizing their dreams coming true. Most often it is found to be a mirage as things are just different in physical terms. There is nothing to blame the very mechanism as the tricks are played by those who know no limit to exploit it. Take banks for instance who get never tired of flashing their ads on different products and service. They say it is now a matter of just few minutes to transfer funds not only from one branch to another in the same bank but from any bank to any bank. The allurement is sans practice and when tried it is found that the task is too cumbersome a job and applying clicks after clicks going from page to page where the customers ultimately land is to personally contact the relative branch/bank and there it comes to days and weeks for their request to materialize or receiving a final 'no'. The anomaly equally holds good in the matters of demat accounts for share trading. A trader comes across some instant opportunity, needs funds for the purpose obviously on an urgent footing and presuming that his funds with the identified bank can forthwith be transferred for the purpose, he/she clicks the fund transfer area on the site only to elicit a prompt message that the request is accepted and that it may materialise within next 2-3 working days by which time the very opportunity is lost.
