What if Saifai becomes beijing of India?

External Affairs Minister, Salman Khurshid, remarked after his return from China that Chinese capital Beijing is “the best place to settle down”, and this irked the Samajwadi Party workers as they wanted some appreciation for Saifai in Etawah, the home town of the Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav. Khurshid obliged them also, although sarcastically, saying that Saifai is equally “the best place to settle down”. There is no doubt that Saifai, once a small village, is an extraordinarily developed a place with all the facilities which may not be available in even much bigger towns in the country. Thanks to Mulayam Singh Yadav who gave the small village the status of a full fledged city. Feeding the small village fat to a gigantic size with all paraphernalia available there was not an easy task but the question is as to why the same thing can’t be done in respect of several other places in Uttar Pradesh. The funds earmarked for the development of Safai didn’t flow from some one’s pocket, they were all the public money only. If public money is utilised in an equitable manner, the benefit may go to a large number of other places but it is highly dishonest on the part of the political leaders that they use public  money to appease the people in their constituencies ignoring the other otherwise most genuine places. Such a misuse of funds in fact warrants a curb on the political leaders whenever they are in power.
